Gabrielle Giffords is Recovering.............

Gabrielle  Giffords was born on June 8, 1970, she is an American politician.

She is a democratic member of the United States House of Representatives.
In Arizona's history, She is the third woman  to be elected to the U.S. Congress

On January 8, 2011, Giffords became a victim of a shooting near Tucson at a supermarket
where she was meeting publicly with constituents.

She was seriously injured by a gunshot wound to the head.
Ms. Giffords, 40, the target of the attack, was in critical condition  at the University Medical Center in Tucson, where she was operated on by a team of neurosurgeons on Saturday.
Medical director of the hospital’s trauma and critical care unit, said  that she had been shot “through and through,” with the bullet going through her brain.

Let's have some look at the life of this stout lady Gabrielle Giffords.....
She has a Jewish father and Christian Science-practicing mother. She is Arizona's first Jewish congresswoman.

Giffords graduated from Tucson's University High School. She received a B.A. in Sociology and Latin American History from Scripps College in California in 1993 and a Masters of Regional Planning from Cornell University in 1996.

NASA astronaut Mark Kelly is a husband of  Gabrielle Giffords.

The two met in China as members of a young leaders group on US-China relations. “I had dated some big players, but they weren’t really nice men, and I was a little gun-shy," Giffords recalled for the column.

They really have a romantic kind of  love story.
"Mark talked about his love for his two daughters, about sharing custody.” And it quotes Kelly about his wife: “She had it all. Beautiful, smart, hard working, balanced, fun to be with, and she laughed at my jokes.”

I  pray for her fast recovery and well-being.

As she had been operated by neurosurgeons and underwent surgery, current statement by doctor is :

“She is borrowing upon other ways of communicating. Her words are back more and more now, but she’s still using facial expressions as a way to express. Pointing. Gesturing. Add it all together, and she’s able to express the basics of what she wants or needs. But, when it comes to a bigger and more complex thought that requires words, that’s where she’s had the trouble.”

What she had been through has demonstrated  below
Giffords underwent surgery on May 18, 2011,  a part of her skull that had been removed in January to permit her brain to swell after the gunshot to her head is being  replaced with plastic
This is  taken about five months after she was tragically shot in the head, have emerged on Facebook.
The images depict a strong woman in recovery, smiling and with short, dark hair.
